The cedar for the walls and ceiling were obtained from trees in Eutaw, AL. Attached private bathroom with custom open rain shower. Tools displayed on the walls were found in the soil on the grounds. Everhope is approximately 35 minutes from The University of Alabama. We have hosted everyone - parents of students, professors, wedding brides & grooms, governors, CEOs, models, actors, rock stars, film crews filming at Everhope, authors, professional athletes, and people like you and me looking for a unique experience.
Everhope is a stunning example of Greek Revival architecture, boasts its original heart of pine floors, windows, woodwork, and even its original doorbell! Designed by architect David Rhinehart Anthony to be Big, Bold and Beautiful. Likely built with virgin pine and oak harvested on site, Everhope sports walls four times thicker than the modern standard. It has stood the test of time. Everhope is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage for its architectural significance.
