Where pecans were dried and cracked in the 1850s, the first floor is a sitting room . It has two bathrooms, one of which has a custom marble open-air shower, large enough for two. A custom wood ladder on a sliding system leads to the second floor loft with a high-end foam mattress. Double barn doors open to the outside for a true indoor/outdoor experience and provide pleasant views of the fire pit.
All rooms have access to the common areas such as the front porch with rocking chairs, Dining Room (table that sits 10, keurig coffee, snacks, etc.), Gentlemen's Parlor with sitting area, and Ladies Parlor. Find a few common area photos attached.
Everhope is approximately 35 minutes from The University of Alabama. We have hosted everyone - parents of students, professors, wedding brides & grooms, governors, CEOs, models, actors, rock stars, film crews filming at Everhope, authors, professional athletes, and people like you and me looking for a unique experience.
Everhope is a stunning example of Greek Revival architecture, boasts its original heart of pine floors, windows, woodwork, and even its original doorbell! Designed by architect David Rhinehart Anthony to be Big, Bold and Beautiful. Likely built with virgin pine and oak harvested on site, Everhope sports walls four times thicker than the modern standard. It has stood the test of time. Everhope is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage for its architectural significance.
